Position Purpose
The Data Analyst- Sales Operations plays a crucial role in driving data-driven decision-making within the sales operations team. This position is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting sales and inventory data to identify trends, optimize processes, and improve overall performance. The analyst will develop reports, dashboards, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to support leadership in strategic planning and forecasting. Additionally, they will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance data accuracy, streamline operations, and provide actionable insights that drive revenue and efficiency within JCB Inc.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities
- Collect, clean, and analyze sales data to provide insights on revenue trends, customer behavior, and sales performance.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and scorecards to track key sales metrics.
- Assist in sales forecasting by analyzing historical data and market trends.
- Analyze machine inventory trends and produce dashboards.
- Provide predictive insights to support demand planning and revenue growth strategies.
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy within the ERP/SAP system and other sales database.
- Track and evaluate sales performance at individual, team and regional levels.
- Identify gaps and opportunities for improvement in sales, supply and operation processes.
- Analyze sales workflows and recommend process improvements to enhance productivity.
- Support leadership with ad hoc analysis and strategic recommendations.
- Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for sales effectiveness.
- Provide insights to support pricing, product positioning and sales strategies.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Analytics, Statics, Finance or related fields.
- 2+ years of experience in data analysis sales operations, business intelligence or related role.
- Advanced in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, Power BI and Tableau.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with SAP systems and databases.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in data accuracy and reporting.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Competencies
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software
- Comfortable in an in-person office environment
- Technical competence is a plus
- Must be customer service oriented, flexible, and have a high energy level
- Must have excellent follow-through skills
- Must have a professional, polished, and sophisticated demeanor and be comfortable in most social settings
- Must be open to domestic and international travel
- Desire and proven ability to learn and grow
