Position Purpose
This position is responsible for performing all assembly related CARC paint, necessary stock paint, final paint detail, and paint repairs on products within the paint shop.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities
- Perform labor operations such as properly prepping surface for primer/paint, masking as needed, applying correct primer (if not powder primed), applying final topcoat to CARC specifications, and unmasking products painted.
- Ability to operate overhead cranes, manipulators and assembly equipment.
- Complete all refinishing for both small and large repairs on JCB products, using applicable paint systems.
- Apply decals and stripes.
- Analyze damage and plan the repair.
- Ensure compliance to company health and safety procedures, including proper usage and disposal of paint/chemicals and waste.
- Learn standardized processes for all paint operations.
- Advise/recommend processes and procedures to improve safety and quality.
- Apply Problem Solving Tools and Techniques in an effort to help Assembly eliminate defects.
- Assist in the maintenance and upkeep of equipment.
- Ensure compliance to company health and safety procedures.
- Other responsibilities as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma.
- One year of experience with paint processes.
- Must pass applicable drug screens, background checks and pre-employment tests.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Competencies
- Knowledge of the JCB Production System.
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills
- Detail oriented and self-directed.
- Ability to multi-task while maintaining a sense of urgency.
- Flexibility with work schedule and duties including overtime.
- Ability to operate a forklift, pneumatic or various hand tools and/or heavy equipment or the demonstrated ability to learn.
- Ability to operate cranes, manipulators and assembly equipment.
- Must wear Personal Protective Equipment as required.
- Conversant with Engineering Drawings.
- Ability to lift 35lbs repetitively.

- Must be able to grasp/pinch small items, reach out and up, and turn wrist.
- Must be capable of keeping pace with current production speed.
- Must be able to push/pull with reasonable force.
- Must be able to perform the following requirements of bending, stooping, climbing, kneeling, and standing for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to work in multiple climates including hot/cold temperatures, and dusty environment.
