Position Purpose
The candidate for this position is responsible for fulfilling US Government contract required warranty management. This position requires working knowledge of machines and service parts. Must be able to identify technical problem, analyze claims to determine if warrantable, issue reports, handle customer complaints, collaborate with FSRs and Quality Engineers, establish/implement warranty-related policies and procures, and report to senior management.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities
- Receive military warranty claims
- USMC warranty & service support claims tools (WSSCT)
- Direct from military units
- Government fielding personnel
- Update and close out claims in WSSCT
- Confirm warranty period is active and disseminate claims to FSR manager
- Process warranty workorders (initial/closeout)
- Order/track/ship warranty parts
- Prepare government monthly warranty reports, enter data
- Schedule monthly warranty meetings with USG/USMC
- Schedule & lead internal warranty meetings with quality & production teams
- Coordinate return of replaced parts for quality/supplier analysis
- Track warranty spend - parts, labor hours, travel costs
- Maintain reliability data for future contract requirements
- Maintain and report warranty periods per machine sold to USG/USMC
- Liaison with TACOM and USMC field, quality and program personnel as required
Minimum Qualifications
- Must pass any drug screens, background checks and applicable pre-employments tests.
- At least 3-5 years of technical service/training experience within a related industry
Preferred Qualifications
- Military service or government contract work.
- Working knowledge of operating systems: SAP, JDS, PLM
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Competencies
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Effective presentation and written communication skills
- Excellent customer service, problem solving and organizational skills
- Ability to be detail oriented and multi-task while maintaining a sense of urgency
- Ability to give direction, either written or verbal.
