Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Lead Heavy Equipment Operator to oversee excavation operations and manage a team of 6-12 employees. This role is essential in ensuring safe and efficient job site operations while maintaining compliance with all safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate heavy equipment including excavators, backhoes, mini excavators, skid steers, and compactors.
- Lead, supervise, and coordinate a team of 6-12 employees on job sites.
- Ensure strict adherence to all safety regulations and procedures.
- Conduct equipment inspections and perform minor maintenance tasks.
- Ensure compliance with overhead and underground hazard avoidance.
- Maintain accurate documentation and reports.
- Report any injuries or accidents to the Safety Manager.
- Keep job sites clean, organized, and running efficiently.
- Provide recommendations for increasing productivity and efficiency.
- Potencial in-state travel to Flagstaff.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience operating heavy equipment (excavator, backhoe, mini excavator, skid steer, compactors).
- 5+ years of experience leading a team of 6-12 employees in a construction setting.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and maintenance procedures for heavy equipment.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Clean driving record.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Pay: $27.00 - $36.00 per hour
