BASIC PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF POSITION
Reporting to the Director, Technology Solutions, the Assistant Director, Enterprise Architecture will be responsible for directing the Kubota Credit Corporation, U.S.A. (KCC) enterprise architecture, data engineering and cloud infrastructure teams. In collaboration with the Product Management and KCC Business Leadership team, this role will align architecture strategy with business goals. The position will work with the rest of the IT and Product Management Leadership team to ensure KCC has a roadmap to adopt innovative technologies including AI, Machine Learning and RPA.
PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES: This position does the following in accordance with all applicable Federal, State and local laws / regulations and the Company’s policies, procedures and guidelines:
- Provides overall direction, guidance, and definition of IT architecture to effectively support the corporate business strategy
- Establishes and oversees the architecture and data engineering team, including the recruitment, development, and maintenance of the architecture staff
- Leads programs to develop, maintain, and govern the enterprise architecture across the organization
- Leads the enterprise architecture review board and ensures that the solutions are compliant with target-state architecture models
- Lead initiatives to integrate AI/ML into enterprise architecture frameworks and data pipelines for predictive analytics and automation
- Oversees the design and build activities of KCC’s infrastructure and cloud environments
- Advises on options, risks, costs versus benefits, system impacts, and technology priorities
- Directs the research and evaluation of emerging technology, industry, and market trends
- Works with senior leadership to approve allocation of budget to meet architectural initiatives critical to business/mission success
- Works with privacy and security team to ensure products are designed and monitored from inception to meet compliance and security requirements
- Responsible for the overall training and development of the architecture & data engineering team
- Additional duties assigned by management.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field and/or equivalent experience
- 15 or more years of IT and business/industry work experience in the financial services and/or captive finance space including architecture design and deployment, systems lifecycle management, and infrastructure planning and operations.
- Leadership experience in managing multiple, large, cross-functional teams or projects, and influencing senior level management and key stakeholders.
- Requires exposure to multiple, diverse technologies and processing environments.
- Knowledge of all components of holistic enterprise architecture, business re-engineering principles and processes, and basic knowledge of financial models and budgeting.
- Familiarity with large language models, generative AI, and experience in building data pipelines for real-time analytics
- Azure/Cloud Certifications preferred.
- At least 15 years of experience with Azure, ReactJS, MongoDB/Oracle, Micro-service, Cloud, and Dev Ops or equivalent technologies preferred.
- Expert knowledge of Cloud Concepts, Responsive User Experience, AI/ML concepts and Data Platforms
