Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Farm Manager, the Farm Equipment Operator will be a member of a team that is responsible for all the farming activities on Crookham Company owned farms and breeding nurseries. Job duties will include safe operation of tractors, SP sprayers, field lifts and trucks to complete primary tillage, seed bed preparation, cultivation, chemical application, irrigation and harvest activities. Farm Equipment Operators conduct light preventative maintenance on all equipment operated. Farm Equipment Operators assemble, operate and maintain irrigation systems. Farm Equipment Operators safely load, secure, and transport agricultural equipment and produce to various locations in the Treasure Valley. During winter months, the Farm Equipment Operator is assigned other duties based on Company needs.

Key Skills and Competencies:

· Must maintain a Valid CDL Driver’s License with Tanker endorsements.

· Private Applicators chemical license preferred.

· Must have experience operating a tractor and other farm equipment.

· Perform routine safety inspections prior to operating equipment and vehicles.

· Needs some basic computer skills.

· Must have strong communication skills.

· Needs a solid work ethic and be self-motivated.

· Needs strong organizational skills.

· Must be able to work long and variable hours 7 days a week during peak production periods (i.e. planting, harvest).
