We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating various types of heavy machinery and will be responsible for ensuring efficient and safe operations on construction sites. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members to achieve project goals.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment including track loaders, telehandlers, bulldozers, excavators, soil compactors, dump trucks, and farm machinery in a safe and efficient manner.
- Conduct pre-operation inspections on equipment to ensure functionality and safety compliance.
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery and report any mechanical issues to the supervisor.
- Assist in loading and unloading materials as needed on construction sites.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations while operating equipment to minimize risks.
- Collaborate with team members to complete tasks effectively and meet project deadlines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring that all tools and equipment are stored properly after use.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, specifically with loaders, roll-off trucks, backhoes, concrete mixers, and dump trucks.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues.
- Familiarity with construction site operations and safety standards.
- CDL not required
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols at all times.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.56 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
