Operator Job Summary
· Responsible for safe shoring on excavations and proper barricading
· Keep time and material records
· Knowledge of Miss Utility
· Perform daily pre-and post-inspections of equipment with appropriate documentation in compliance with company policies
· Regular and predictable attendance at assigned times is required
· Communicate and work well with other crew members
· Coordinate with other workers to determine excavation areas
· Maintain work area to acceptable safety and housekeeping standards
· Being a reliable member of the team responsive to visual cues and hand signals
· General machine upkeep and daily maintenance- Lubricating and checking fluid levels
Qualifications
· Must have experience working outdoors
· Must be US Citizen
· Integrity and self-motivation required
Must have experience in operation of loaders, dozers, haul trucks, road graders, or excavators
Position requires the ability and aptitude to operate heavy construction equipment
· All candidates will be subject to pre-employment drug screen
· At least 2 years of working experience with equipment of all sizes
· Able to solve basic, common-sense problems.
· Able to work with general supervision and use some experience/judgement.
· Must have a flexible schedule (make work irregular or odd hours in outdoor work sites, depending upon project needs or weather), including nights and weekends.
· General knowledge of daily equipment maintenance
