Requirements
- Proven experience in embedded software development is strictly required.
- Expertise in CMake/Make is essential for competing in today's technology landscape.
- Proficient in C++ with a focus on code bases in C++ and Linux, specifically Rocky Linux.
- Extensive experience with OpenGL and QT GUI for embedded devices.
- Demonstrated ability to craft modular architectures for embedded systems.
- Strong familiarity with Class C (3) devices or similar safety-critical systems.
- In-depth understanding of complex build systems and make files.
- Outstanding problem-solving skills to successfully optimize legacy code.
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively within a team for flawless project execution.
WOULD BE A PLUS:
- Knowledge of industry standards for safety-critical or medical devices.
- Experience with continuous integration and automated testing for embedded systems.
Job responsibilities
- Lead and contribute to the refactoring of a legacy embedded system into a modular architecture to ensure scalability and maintainability.
- Analyze and deconstruct complex make files, simplifying the build process to improve maintainability and development efficiency.
- Collaborate with a cross-functional team to craft, implement, and test software solutions for embedded systems.
- Develop, optimize, and maintain software in C++ for a Class C (3) device.
- Work with Rocky Linux and QT GUI to improve system functionality.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards for embedded systems development.
- Provide technical mentorship to the team, ensuring high-quality code and architecture decisions.
- Participate in code reviews and collaborate with team members to identify and implement improvements.
