What you will do
If you would you like to join an exciting and challenging position as a member of the Volvo Trucks North America Sales team then this may be the position for you! We’re looking for someone with high energy to support the National Account Sales force by assisting the organization’s National Account Managers by supporting and directing their efforts when spec’ing and quoting their customers. In this role you will oversee the technical sales specifications provided by the NAM’s and customers, assist in pricing strategy and work with the support team to track orders/specs throughout the order to production process.
Core Responsibilities:
• Manage the spec/quote process for National Account customers on over 10,000 vehicles and $750+ M of retail sales revenue per year
• Provide specification guidance for performance/GP/updates to sales force and department personnel
• Assist support team when ordering new trucks to ensure they are built as requested and delivered on-time and defect free
• Ability to prioritize workload to meet customer expectations for timely responses
• Identify and attend required training to maximize our responses to exceed internal and external customer’s expectations
• Analyze current processes and recommend changes that will enhance our response to internal and external customer’s expectations
• Meet with National Account customers to obtain feedback on their Volvo experience and implement changes needed to exceed their expectations
• Work with pricing team to create deal sheets for executive approval with all relevant information included for processing to improve response time
• Work with strategic pricing team to optimize GP opportunities/reduce SCOS
• Create/manage winning pricing strategies for high closing rates and improved GP
• Communicate spec offering changes to NA and NASM teams
• Assist with regulatory requirements for team
Who are you?
You hold at least an Associate’s in Business Administration or related discipline or equivalent experience required of at least 5 years of experience within heavy truck related companies of and 1-3 years preferred within Volvo Group.
To be the perfect match for this role, your critical competencies will include:
• General understanding of all the components of a major fleet proposal
• General knowledge of how to spec a truck and suggest improvements for performance/efficiency/GP
• General understanding of the electronic data book processes and all related functions
• General knowledge of all the order management systems at Volvo and other key Vendors
• Working knowledge of VSS and TSP (sales ordering tools)
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
• Accounting knowledge

At the Volvo Group, we strive for a clear, transparent, and straightforward compensation approach, motivating you to contribute to the company’s growth. For this position, the base salary range is set at $111,095 to $137,235, and where applicable, bonus eligible. The range for this role, as well as final salary offered, is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, work-related knowledge, certifications, skills, education, and experience. In addition to these factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer.
