At Crown Power & Equipment, our Lawn & Garden Sales Representative is not only responsible for selling new and used equipment, but they are also a strategic business connection for our customer base. By evaluating a customer’s lawn and garden equipment needs, they can lay out a strategic plan for the customer’s future equipment needs. This position is a primary point of contact for their customers which lends to building a strong foundation with our customers to continue our working relationships for years to come.

Essential Job Functions
- Build and maintain strong business relationships with current and potential walk-in customers
- Responsible for assisting customers in the dealership with their equipment questions and identifying solutions to meet their needs
- Assures customer receives proper instructions, warranty information, operating manual, and
- Stay current on product knowledge with the ability to effectively communicate the benefits and features of products for optimum customer satisfaction
- Understanding and implementation of Company sales strategy
- Provide management with accurate sales forecasts for financial planning
- Attend tradeshows, conferences, sales training events/seminars as designated
- Acquire and maintain knowledge of used equipment values and be able to competently assess for trading purposes
- Monitor competitive products and activity
- Input and maintain accurate information in PowerEQ (dealer software tracking system)
- Maintain current knowledge of financing/warranty/service options available to customers
- Conduct new equipment field demonstrations
- Work as a team with other departments to consistently create a positive customer experience

Required Qualifications
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to develop strong business relationships
- Ability to respond quickly, effectively, and professionally to demands and requests from customers and employees
- Ability to manage and resolve interpersonal conflict
- Strong negotiation skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to analyze and interpret sales reports
- Ability to multi-task and effectively manage time
- Intermediate-level computer skills, including the ability to learn new business systems and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Must be self-disciplined and able to work independently
- Valid Class E driver’s license and clean driving record
- Ability to work flexible hours
- Experience working with ag equipment
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time with walking, climbing stairs, reaching, pushing, pulling, leaning, and twisting
- Ability to lift items up to 75 lbs. and work in awkward positions
- Fitness to work in adverse and extreme weather conditions
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Agri-Business, or experience related to the industry
- 1+ years sales experience in a related industry
- Forklift certification
- Valid Class E driver's license or better
- Basic computer experience
