Summary of the position:
The Compressed Air Systems Auditor role focuses on performing compressed air audits through Hitachi Air Centers. Audits will be performed at end user facility compressed air systems and contracted by the end user directly, or through authorized independent distributors.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare proposals for full audit offering including baseline audits, demand side audits, supply side audits and verification audits according to best practices in the compressed air auditing industry.
Program loggers and send to site for smaller audit opportunities, or for larger audits, travel to customer sites to install auditing equipment.
Review customer’s current setup and document opportunities for improvement for audit including pictures for examples.
When data collection is complete, may be required to travel to pick up, if convenient, or could use the service team.
Perform demand side walkthroughs to determine areas for compressed air reduction, such as blower or vacuum applications.
Develop product neutral comprehensive compressed air system audit reports for presentation.
Analyze recorded data, formulate recommendations, and calculate return on investment.
Develop basic P&I drawings and compressed air system schematics (block diagrams) using MS Visio.
May be required to jointly present with sales teams remotely for larger projects.
Work with Senior Director to further develop and enhance audit offering and technology.
Become US D.O.E. AIRMaster+ Specialist certification, if not already certified.
Become CAGI Certified Compressed Air System Specialist, if not already certified.
Future requirement to achieve CAGI Certified Compressed Air System Assessor (not yet available) for performing ISO 50001 Energy Efficiency Standard Audits.
If auditing is slow, this position will assist inside sales in preparing technical proposals, conducting employee technical training, end user systems training, or other duties as directed by supervisor.
Work with Product Group in the continuous development of AirSuite offering and tools to allow for technical support.
Experience/Educational/Skill Requirements
Two-year technical degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics or Computer technology and 2-5 years’ experience desired
Mechanical aptitude, self-motivated, time management
Strong computer skills and aptitude commensurate with the job requirements, specifically including Microsoft Office software, AutoCAD and/or MS Visio
Commitment to continuous learning in this field of expertise
Read and interpret wiring diagrams relative to instrumentation and controls
Great communication skills and the ability to relate well to people of diverse backgrounds and professional orientations – from Maintenance personnel to Engineers as well as Owners & Managers.
Basic electrical trouble shooting ability (e.g., use multi-meter)
