Position Purpose
This position exists to provide leadership and coordination of Product Support objectives. Develop and implement corporate Product Support strategies and programs within the territory of their responsibility.
Nature & Scope
Reports to the Vice President of Product Support.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities
- Responsible for overseeing the development of dealer support to the levels established in the North American Dealer Standards Manual
- Responsible for the marketing and sales of both replacement parts and attachments within their territory.
- Oversee territory team to ensure Service sales and objectives are meet.
- Responsible for communicating regional product support issues.
- Oversee territory product support and warranty concerns.
- Presentation of product support issues with machines or service coordination
- Direct any necessary changes to current operating procedures to ensure customer satisfaction within their territory.
- Communicate with Savannah counterparts for maximizing the North American approach for the future.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must pass applicable drug screens, background checks and pre-employment tests.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
- Ten years’ experience in a Product Support management position
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in business or related field
- Ten years’ experience in a senior-level Product Support position
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Competencies
- Experience with strategic planning and execution.
- Knowledge of contracting, negotiating and change management.
- Capable of analyzing and assessing training needs
- Understanding of organizational development theory and practices
- Experience with implementing Product Support programs and/or initiatives.
- Understanding of computerized information systems used in conjunction with Product Support applications.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Capable of motivating teams to produce quality work while simultaneously managing multiple projects.
- Proficient with conflict resolution
- Experience in leading and facilitating group meetings.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule that may include occasional weekend and/or evening work.
Job Conditions
- Both office environment and occasionally manufacturing/factory environment
- Travel to dealer, customer and supplier locations / field-based environment (<20%)
- Subject to noise and temperature changes
