We are seeking a full-time Operator (Heavy Equipment) . Wage range is $32.00 to $42.00 per hour depending on experience. Don't miss out on this amazing opportunity!
Position Summary:
Heavy Equipment Operators handle motorized apparatus such as bulldozers and cranes, as well as non-motorized apparatus such as dump boxes and loader buckets
Primary Responsibilities:
· Observing stipulated safety codes at all times.
· Communicating with coworkers to elucidate project specifications, as needed.
· Reporting injuries and other accidents to the line manager.
· Advising the line manager of requisite upgrades, repairs, and replacements.
· Aiding coworkers to ensure that the site is clean and organized at the end of each shift.
· Providing suggestions to refine workflow and boost efficiency.
· Operates a variety of construction class vehicles.
· Operate vehicles with safety precautions in place.
· Works as part of a team under strict deadlines.
· Expected to work in a variety of extreme weather conditions.
· Maintenance licensing and certification on all vehicles.
· Wear safety gear at all times.
· Attend all safety trainings.
· Provide support to successful completion of construction and engineering work.
· Operate all heavy equipment like cranes, earth movers, bulldozers, front-end loaders, and other related equipment.
· Operate the equipment in the right direction and angles to prevent accidents and damage of property.
· Drive and control the equipment.
· Perform road work, excavation work, lifting work, etc.
· Respond to signals and directions by the staff and work in coordination with them.
· Maintain proper coordination and cooperation with the road and transport system while driving/working, so that the normal activities are not disrupted.
· Operate the equipment manually and also through the use of electronic or technical methods of operation.
· Operates graders for leveling and operates tractors to load materials such as dirt and rocks.
· Operates backhoe and front-end loaders as required.
· Operates forklifts and dump trucks to transport trash and materials.
Operates various equipment for general site preparation, landscaping, snow removal, and related assignments.
Required Education:
· Highschool Diploma
· Valid Commercial Driver’s License
· Knowledge of proper operation of heavy equipment as well as safety standards
Preferred Experience:
· At least 5 years of experience working with heavy equipment
· Strong work ethic and ability to lift 50+ pounds
· Able to stand/walk/Sit for extended periods of time
· Can vigorously complete any physical operating and laboring associated with this work
