The KB Custom Ag team is currently looking for experienced Diesel Mechanics to help us maintain our commitment to safety and improve fleet and harvest equipment efficiencies. In this role, the successful candidate will perform truck repair and maintenance work in accordance with factory and industry standards, run diagnostics on vehicles and work closely with other team members to meet company goals. Responsibilities
- Working with all vehicle components include engine, electrical, brakes, suspension, steering, exhaust, cab, chassis, and hydraulics
- Ensuring work orders are completed accurately
- Evaluating completed work prior to release
- Perform minor and major repairs on trucks, trailers and forage harvest equipment
- Conduct regular preventative maintenance on service trucks and forage harvest equipment, including inspection, tire rotation and oil changes
- Maintain parts inventory and cleanliness in the shop
- Collaborate with repair team to diagnose problems with vehicles and plan repairs
- Advise shop foreman and provide recommendation if repair order needs to be adjusted.
- Perform regular diagnostic tests on trucks
- Maintain accurate records of each repair performed on vehicles
- Road test vehicles as needed for quality assessment.
- Maintain working knowledge of factory technical bulletins.
- Maintain neat and orderly work area.
- Uphold federal, state and local regulations governing the disposal of hazardous waste.
- Perform job duties and functions with flexibility in the event circumstances shift, i.e., emergencies, changes in personnel, workload, rush jobs or technology developments

Required Education, Experience, Knowledge & Skills
- 2+ years of diesel / heavy truck maintenance & repair experience
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Extensive knowledge of trucks
- Candidate must have experience diagnosing and repairing diesel trucks.
- Candidate must be a motivated individual who can work independently.
- Selected candidate will be required to attend training sessions for products serviced by the company at the company's expense.
- Candidate must possess a complete set of hand tools with roll-away toolbox.
- Excellent verbal and communication skills
- Detail oriented.
- ASE certifications are not required but will positively affect pay
Pay is very competitive according to skill and experience level. We are an Agricultural based company exempt from paying overtime. All hours over 40 are paid at your straight time.
We run 6/7 days a week and many holidays.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 50 – 65 per week
