We are seeking dedicated and reliable Equipment Operators to join our team during the winter season. As an Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for ensuring that parking lots and roadways are safe and accessible by removing snow. This role is essential for maintaining the safety of traffic areas in commercial and public spaces.
Key Responsibilities:
- Snow Removal: Clear snow from roadways and parking lots using a skid steer, tractor or loader with a plow or pusher, and other equipment as needed.
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate and maintain snow removal equipment, including a skid steer, tractor, or loader, and other machinery.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure the safety of yourself, team members, and the public.
- Timeliness: Respond promptly to snowfall, ensuring that all assigned areas are cleared and treated in a timely manner, often in early mornings or late at night.
- Communication: Report any issues, such as equipment malfunctions or areas that require additional attention, to the supervisor.
- Physical Demands: Perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and carrying heavy equipment or bags of de-icing materials.
Qualifications:
- Ability to work in cold, snowy, and potentially hazardous weather conditions.
- Physical stamina and strength to handle prolonged periods of snow and equipment operation.
- Dependable and punctual, with a strong commitment to completing tasks efficiently.
- Previous experience in snow removal or similar outdoor work is a plus but not required.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.

- Work Hours: Variable hours, often early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays depending on snowfall.
- Compensation: Hourly wage with the potential for additional hours during heavy snowfall.
- Location: Chicagoland area. We can work with you to limit your commute time to one of our yards
- Equipment Provided: All necessary tools and materials for snow removal will be provided.
